Lake Jackson Mounds
National Park Service page on Lake Jackson Mounds. "The site was once a large ceremonial center dating back to the Fort Walton period of Florida's history (1000 A.D.-1450 A.D.). The entire complex consists of six earth temple mounds and one possible burial mound."
The Lake Jackson Mounds were listed in the National Register of Historic Places 1971 6 May.

Seminole Rest
Seminole Rest "site of an ancient Indian Mound is now open to the public. The mound dates from 2000 B.C. to 1565 A.D. Archeologists believe that the mound was a place that the Timucuan Indians spent time gathering clams and processing them as a food source."
